Recipes. Vegan Sausage Rolls
These amazing bite-sized morsels of happiness can easily be made vegan and gluten-free by swapping out the puff pastry for a gluten-free variant.

- 4 vegan pastry puff sheets
- 100g gluten free flour 100g
- 50ml soya milk
- 300g Herbivore meatless sausage
- 50g nigella seeds
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/gas mark 5.
Step 2. Unravel the pastry (most of them are vegan) on a floured surface. Place the sausage in the left hand corner. Cut the puff pastry sheet into 4 quarters. Mould the sausage mix into a long sausage shape down the centre of the pastry, then bring the pastry up around the filling and seal along the seam with a fork. Then make small horizontal cuts.
Step 3. Lay onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush each piece with the soya milk. Sprinkle with nigella seeds.
Step 4. Bake for 35 mins or until deep, golden brown. Leave to cool a little and enjoy. Place on a baking tray lined with a baking paper and bake in the preheated oven at 180C (360F) for 25 min or until the puff pastry has a nice golden glow.
Step 5. Dip the hot sausage rolls into some freezing cold Herbivore tomato ketchup and enjoy.
